One of our Swindon parishes, celebrating its golden anniversary throughout 2012, is hosting a series of events that’ll help us deepen our prayer.
Although hosted by the Holy Family parish in Swindon, everyone is invited to take part in the free talks.
This talk entitled 'At the school of prayer of St Benedict' is given by Father Michael Clothier OSB.
Father Christopher Whitehead the Director of our Department for Adult Education and Evangelisation said: “As part of the Holy Family parish’s celebrations in 2012 they are hosting a series of reflections aimed at deepening prayer by exploring some of the rich spiritualities in the Church.
“Drawing on local connections and religious communities from within and nearby the diocese, this series of talks journeys across twelve months beginning in January.
“The reflections take place at the Presentation Convent next door to Holy Family church and are open to everyone.
“‘Schools of Prayer in Swindon’ is a wonderful opportunity to draw people into deeper friendship with the Lord through their lives of prayer.”
