Taunton Tribute to Archbishop Romero

24 March 2010
Location: St George’s Catholic Centre
Address: Billet Street, Taunton TA1 3NN
Time: 7.30 pm

Oscar Romero was archbishop of San Salvador in El Salvador. His love for his people who were suffering violence and oppression led him to take their side and to denounce their oppressors. And so he was killed, whilst celebrating Mass on 24 March 1980.

To mark this thirtieth anniversary of Archbishop Romero’s martyrdom, there will be a special in Taunton for people to find out about his legacy and how we can mark this special day by helping the people in El Salvador 30 years on.
