Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust is planning an auction of antiques and collectables to raise funds and enable them to increase the help the trust can provide. In the last year alone the trust has made grants totalling £100,000.
The auction is being held by Simon Chorley Art and Antiques and will take place on 25 June 2009 at their Prinknash Abbey Park saleroom. Items will be included as a part of a regular sale, ensuring that donated lots are exposed to the widest possible audience of buyers. The trust us aiming for at least 300 lots to be included in the sale and are now seeking donations auctioned. Suggested items include: furniture, rugs, books, stamp or postcard albums, porcelain, wine, militaria and medals, paintings, jewellery, clocks or watches, musical or scientific instruments
If you are willing to donate then please contact Thomas Jenner-Fust on 01452 344499 and he will talk you through the best way to proceed. Please bear in mind that items must be catalogued and moved to Prinknash by early May (six weeks before the sale).
