Winchcombe Week: Radio in the Community

The third episode in our podcast series - ‘Winchcombe Week’ - is online today (7 May).  We talk with St Nicholas parishioner Mike Rafferty who's reaching out with his involvement with Radio Winchcombe.

Mike tells us about the valuable contribution that community radio can make to local groups and that it’s an ideal opportunity for parishes to become more involved in their local way of life. 

Winchcombe’s Parish Priest Father Peter Slocombe is a frequent voice on the popular station.  As well as a being a regular contributor for thought for the day, Father Peter is a presenter Radio Winchcombe’s breakfast programme.  He has also been interviewed as part of the ‘The Traveller’ series talking about his various overseas trips.  You can listen to an episode in our multimedia panel on the right.
