Wonderful Walk in Winchcombe

27 November 2009

One of the ways our parish in the Cotswold town of Winchcombe build community is parish walks in their wonderful local countryside.  The parish have been out and about recently.

St Nicholas Parish Priest Father Peter Slocombe told cliftondiocese.com: “The recent walk was around Broadway and Laverton and back to the Broadway Hotel.  The parish group walked 4.76 miles - don't you just love GPS accuracy?! And climbed 679 feet during the hill climbs.

“Also they rescued two walkers and put them onto the right path and met two handsome black labradors.  All of which set them fair for a fine lunch at the Broadway Hotel.”
