• Celebrating the Mysteries: Deepening our understanding of the Sacrements
One of the initiatives for our celebration of the Year of Faith will be to use Lent as an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the Sacraments in the life of the Church. The focus of the series will be to enable those who take part to grow in a confident understanding of how we allow the Sacraments to shape and form our lives, inviting us to be holy as God is holy.
Taking place at the Immaculate Conception, Clevedon, these eight sessions, crafted around the Lenten Season are an ideal preparation for those preparing for the Sacraments this Easter as well as RCIA groups or simply those who feel they would like to explore the Catechism a little deeper.
The series takes place on Thursday evenings, beginning 31 January, and start at 7.30pm until 9.00pm with refreshments from 7.00pm

• Schools of Prayer
Continuing our journey through the Year of Faith, the approaching season of Lent offers an opportunity to deepen prayer learning from some of the great spiritual teachers of our faith. Schools of Prayer is being hosted by the Bernadine Sisters at Brownshill and takes place on the Wednesdays of Lent.
Beginning Wednesday 20 February and starting at 7.30pm (with refreshments from 7.00pm) the series invites us to learn from these different schools of prayer, experience something of their way of praying, so as to deepen our relationship with the Lord through our prayer.
The poster attached gives the details of each of the sessions.
The Lenten series is open to anyone who may wish to come along. It may be a useful, prayerful tool for those journeying towards the Sacraments this coming Easter (as well as your RCIA group) as part of their spiritual preparation in these final weeks.
